DONNAREGGINA, DONNAROMITA, DONNALBINA
Some time, walking in the St. Domenico Square, the hearth of historical centre, specially in the sunset, you can meet three women, -shadows of women-.
They are beautiful.....and so young, so sad, that it's natural that you stop and walk their direction; but, as usual for ghosts, as you reach them, They disappear.
You'll continue your walker, and They appears again, but as you move to them, They disappeared.
They stands on the corner of Piazza Nilo, at the end of St. Domenico, and they are so closer each other that seems they are embraced.
But They are shadows, looking as girls, but have no body, are light, ghosts.

Donna Romita, Donna Regina, Donna Albina, three sisters, lived in Piazzetta Nilo many and many century ago.

Napes, age 1300. One of the wisest king of the history, after Salomon, on the throne: Roberto d'Angiò. Angioin's domination.

The three Sisters, was of 19 17 and 15 years. They loved all that the same gentleman: The noble Filippo Capece, beautiful young man admired and courted by all young women in the court of Naples.
But they have cancelled this love in their heart. The noble Capece can't become the husband of all the three sisters, so it's better of none.
Different way takes the destiny.
The family of Regina, Albina and Romita has no male, and so the noble Toraldo -her father- asked at Roberto D'angiò, one "Special Favore" : that his first daughter, when married can keep her surname, so the family surname will continue after him.
King Robert accepted and designed the husband:
The noble Capece.
So only the first of this three sisters could married his love; the beautiful Filippo.
A great hate exploded in the house. The three sisters (so near each other) didn't talk each other, and jealousy, envy, at the end, hate........
Romita, Albina, Regina, first an example of sister's love and solidarity, heated each other and in the house was the hell.

But their love prevailed. Donna Regina renounced to her love.
But her love was so great, that in her life she never felled in love again. And her sisters too.
When the good father died, with their inheritance they founded three great Monasterys, very famous in Naples.
Donna Romita, in Largo Donna Romita, Donna Regina in Donna Regina Square, and Donna Albina. They retired in the Monastery and lived all their life there. There was three cloistral convent and they didn't meet each other for all their life.

Now, ghosts, shadows, lights, They live embraced. Her sister's love is the only love that They have known, and no human force can loose this embrace.

You can visit this three Monasteries, all inside the historical centre, and so near each other....
